Programme

The Product at the heart of the 8th edition
Whisky: a tasting by duo
With the conscious desire to limit consumption and to encourage a better understanding of the brands present, the notion of duos will be in place on each and every stand. The emphasis will be on two expressions, one new product or a limited edition combined with another, more classic, version. The choice of these two expressions will be determined by their specific aromatic qualities and particular character. These product duos would allow the amateur to better understand the style and diversity inherent in each brand and/or distillery.
The spirits
This concept of duos would also be present on the rum and cognac stands. After all, these two brown spirits are in no way inferior to whisky when it comes to aromatic complexity and richness of character.
The other categories of spirits will be presented in a double manner. One stand per particular type – anisé, eau-de-vie, grappa, pisco, gin, tequila, mezcal, sotol, liqueur, japanese spirit, vodka – will be the scene for a show of exclusive brands representative of the category, available for tasting straight. At the same time, one big brand will be chosen to exemplify a particular type of consumption. Two complementary approaches designed to facilitate the discovery of each type of spirit.
The experience would not be quite complete without the cocktail dimension, the most privileged of all types of consumption when it comes to many white spirits. Such brands, from different categories of spirits, will be made available in this form. Each bar will offer two creations based on two specific and distinct types of spirit. In order to optimise the mixology aspect, we will be collaborating with six of the best-known addresses in Paris, who will be present to let you taste some of their finest creations.
Whisky: types of consumption
Certain whiskies, essentially blends and blended malts, but also some japanese and american whiskies, can be appreciated either straight, on ice, with water or in cocktails. These whiskies and whiskeys will be the subject of specific attention.
Celebrity duos
Whether they have only recently acquired their status, or spent many years working towards it, these duos will be at Whisky Live to present and explain to us a number of some of the most famous brands of whisky and the most un-missable spirits categories, in order to share their experience and their personal perception of these different alcohols.
Ephemeral duos: dual categories
These pairings of multi-brand specialists will be on hand to teach you all about their own categories and to put forward their various points of view, in order to give you the very best vision of their field. Some of these specialists will be:

Drink less in order to better appreciate
In a conscious move to limit consumption and avoid disruption, and entirely in phase with the evolution of contemporary market-trends, Whisky Live Paris has always championed a responsible approach to the consumption of alcohol.
This implies and necessitates the recognition of responsibility
- On the part of the exhibitors
Each of the brands present deserves to be appreciated in the best possible conditions. That is why we wish to limit tasting to two products per brand.
- On the part of the public
Each visitor should be given the opportunity to get the most out of the event and to taste in a responsible manner. Spittoons will be available on each stand. Tasting measures will be limited to 2cl per product per person, and the spirits will be served in the proper glasses.
